As you may have observed, oil prices are at a record-breaking high—with price projections soaring up to $200 per barrel. In all of its150-year history, oil has never cost this much. Furthermore, the rapid price increase of oil over a short period of time has created adverse consequences for businesses and consumers alike.

Oil is used for everything: from the clothes we wear, to the cars we drive, to the foods we eat. Our entire lives revolve around the availability of cheap oil.
